Dopharma and RIPAC-LABOR Celebrate Ground-Breaking Ceremony for New Production Facility for Existing Vaccines in the Potsdam Science Park

Raamsdonksveer, NL / Potsdam, 28.02.2025 | Dopharma Group and its subsidiary RIPAC-LABOR GmbH are pleased to announce the official groundbreaking ceremony for their new state-of-the-art autogenous vaccine production facility in the Technology Campus of the Potsdam Science Park. In the presence of Mike Schubert (Lord Mayor of the federal State Capital of Potsdam), Wijnand de Bruijn (Dopharma Group), Heiko Rüdiger (RIPAC-LABOR), Thilo Mehlhase (PBM architects) and Agnes von Matuschka (Site Management Golm – Standortmanagement Golm GmbH), the first milestone of this important project was set. This significant step underlines the company’s strategic expansion and commitment to meeting future regulatory standards. The new production facility is designed to comply with the upcoming Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines expected in the European Union.

Ahead of European Legislation

Although the EU regulatory timeline has recently been delayed, Dopharma Group and RIPAC-LABOR remain committed to their responsibilities and are proactively investing in the future of existing vaccines by moving forward with the first phase of this ambitious project. “It is important to continue investing in the future, regardless of the EU timeline. The Dopharma Group firmly believes that herd vaccines will play an essential role in livestock production. The new production facility will increase the capacity and efficiency of the production of stock vaccines.
