
Potsdam Science Park Manager Agnes von Matuschka Elected President of IASP European Division
Press Release | The European members of the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP), the world’s leading network for innovation ecosystems, have elected Agnes von Matuschka as the new President of the IASP European Division. The Managing Director of the Potsdam Science Park site management (Standortmanagement Golm GmbH) will officially begin her two-year term at the 42nd IASP World Conference in Beijing in September 2025.
Agnes von Matuschka, who has started her career at the European Commission in Brussels, is successfully driving technology transfer and the development of the Potsdam Science Park in Germany’s capital region. During her previous time in Berlin she founded a Center for Entrepreneurship, launched an incubator program, and built networks with investors and industry leaders.
From September 2025 she will now also represent the interests of the members of the IASP European Division and collaborate closely with the IASP global board. She secured the presidency with a clear majority on May 5th.

I am looking forward to strengthening collaboration within the network and working with the international members of the IASP board as well as colleagues across Europe to unlock new pathways for growth and development,« says Agnes von Matuschka.
Actively Shaping European Innovation Policy
The International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation connects experts worldwide in the management of science and technology parks, as well as the orchestration and development of innovation ecosystems. The independent, non-profit, non-governmental organization has 350 members across 78 countries.
The IASP European Division serves as the collective voice of its European members towards European institutions and publishes white papers to advance innovation ecosystems. Through its active members, the network collaboratively increases the visibility of European science and innovation locations for global talent and partners—with positive effects for research institutions, start-ups, and companies.
The global IASP network also provides access to best practices and international benchmarks, strengthening technology and knowledge transfer between innovation hubs and regions. Conferences and workshops act as platforms for international innovation alliances and serve as showcases for ecosystem orchestration worldwide.

About the Potsdam Science Park
The Potsdam Science Park is one of the largest science hubs in the Berlin-Brandenburg capital region and a growing center for key fields in the life sciences, biotechnology, and advanced materials in Germany.
