Potsdam Science Park Invites You to Take Part in the Step Challenge
Step by step to innovation: from September 1 to 29, 2026, it’s all about racking up steps together, staying active, and having fun as »Team Potsdam Science Park«! Whether in shoes or barefoot, on your way to work, during a walk in your lunch break or whilst exercising after work – every step counts. Join in and help us collect as many steps as possible. As well as enjoying some exercise and a motivating competition, the three most active participants can look forward to awards and prizes.
The Potsdam Science Park Step Challenge 2026 is offered by Standortmanagement Golm GmbH in offered in cooperation with the BARMER health insurance fund. The challenge is open to teams from across the Potsdam Science Park. Participants can join one of the sub-teams and work together to clock up steps.
We look forward to welcoming as many participants as possible! Rumour has it that it’s not just the residents of Golm who are known for their athleticism, but also the researchers in Golm in particular: some of them cover countless steps a day as they make their way through laboratories and research institutes. Apart from the odd long walk in Potsdam’s late summer (recommended!), that would be the perfect contribution to the team’s overall performance! As the site management team, we’ll be awarding a prize and prizes to the three people with the most steps.! As the site management team, we will present awards and prizes to the three most active individuals with the highest step counts.
Here’s How It Works
Registration takes place via the portal or the ‘Dasfitnesswunder’ app – continue reading to learn how to sign up:
- challenge code: 384189 (you will need this code to register and create your own login)
- Users of Garmin, Fitbit, Polar, Suunto, Withings, Oura, and Beurer devices can register directly via the website www.dasfitnesswunder.de/en.
- Everyone else should register using the »Dasfitnesswunder« app from the App Store or Google Play Store.
- Smartwatches are also connected via the app – for example, using Apple Health (Apple Watch) or Samsung Health (Galaxy Watch).
- After registering, click on »Challenge«, enter the challenge code 384189, and join a team.
