Since its founding in 1986, the family-owned company, headquartered at Potsdam Science Park, has grown from a small pioneering enterprise into an internationally sought-after partner for pathology departments, hospitals and research laboratories.

What began with strong entrepreneurial spirit and almost “in a garage” is now a highly specialised provider of diagnostic systems and services. Over the past four decades, quartett Biotechnologie has played an important role in advancing precise diagnostic methods, making a valuable contribution to the improvement of cancer diagnostics.
Today, the company stands for innovative solutions in cancer diagnostics and supports medical institutions worldwide with advanced technologies and scientific expertise. With its innovative method for producing recombinant monoclonal rabbit antibodies, quartett Biotechnologie GmbH is one of the few companies worldwide developing highly sensitive and specific antibodies for diagnostics.
Following the inauguration of its state-of-the-art 1,200 m² new company building in Potsdam-Golm in 2023, the 40th anniversary marks another significant milestone in the company’s history. The anniversary also provides an opportunity to look back on successful projects, long-standing partnerships and the shared commitment with customers, research institutions and medical professionals.
On 1 July, quartett Biotechnologie GmbH hosted a summer anniversary reception at its site in Potsdam Science Park. IHK Vice President Christoph Miethke congratulated Jürgen Gorczyza, Barbara Gorczyza and Alexander Gorczyza on the company’s 40th anniversary and presented them with a certificate of honour from the Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
