Innovative startups emerging from science and academia meet investors with a strong focus on early-stage financing. Set above the city, the event offers a unique setting for meaningful conversations, new partnerships, and fresh ideas. An ideal opportunity to connect with the innovation community and discover the next generation of startups. Application for startups until April 8 at 12:00 CET!

  • Feb 11, 2026 – Application phase opens for startups
  • Apr 8, 2026 | 12:00 pm – Application deadline
  • From March 2026 – Registration opens for investors
  • May 11, 2026 – Ten selected startups will receive an invitation to pitch

Call for Startups

Dear founders, here comes the summer highlight for innovative teams from science and academia. Are you looking for early-stage funding? Then apply now to secure your pitch slot at the Rooftop Pitch Potsdam on June 8, 2026. Ten innovative startups from science and universities will be selected to present their venture to investors, VCs, business angels, and a strong investor network. This is your opportunity to showcase your innovation and build valuable connections with the early-stage investment community.

Useful Information for Your Application

  • The focus is on Life Sciences, but startups from other sectors are also welcome.
  • We are looking for innovative business ideas, ideally with a strong scientific or research-based foundation.
  • Your company must already be legally founded and not older than five years.
  • Applications are welcome from startups in the Pre-Seed, Seed, as well as Series A and Series B stages.

Entry Requirements

  • Only fully completed application forms including a pitch deck will be considered.
  • Pitch decks (including business idea, product development, financing, team, etc.) must be submitted as a PDF.
  • Your startup must not have previously participated as a finalist in the Rooftop Pitch Potsdam.
  • Pitches can be delivered in German or English.
  • Each startup has 5 minutes for the pitch plus a Q&A session.
