Progress in the Potsdam Science Park – The Newest Buildings
New laboratories and offices for companies at the innovation location and a new institute building for up to 800 students – the developments in the Potsdam Science Park are progressing rapidly. Work on three large construction sites in Golm will be completed before the end of this year. In the course of the further development of the largest research location in Brandenburg, further new areas will be created for the settlement of research-leading companies and the University of Potsdam will expand the Golm campus. We present the latest three buildings:
GO:IN 2 – Even more space for innovations – Lease starts in February
With the GO:IN 2, another office and laboratory complex in the Potsdam Science Park will be completed in summer 2021. The space on offer is primarily aimed at technology and research-oriented companies and offers individual rental options for fully developed, small-scale office and laboratory space (office from 20 m², laboratories from 45m²) with high technical standards and modern equipment. Letting starts on February 15, 2021, information can be obtained from the TGZP at info@tgzp.de and 0331-6200209.

Hasso Plattner Foundation donates new building for Institute of Computer Science and Computational Science – opening in March
The new home of the Institute of Computer Science and Computational Science at the University of Potsdam on the Golm campus is ready. The Hasso Plattner Foundation donated the building and erected the building in less than two years. The state of Brandenburg has provided the land as well as around 1.5 million euros for the equipment. The institute will move into the new building, which has now been completed, in March 2021. There are workplaces available there for around 100 employees and about 800 students. On the ground floor there are seminar rooms, computer pools and a study area, while on the two upper floors there are office workstations, group study rooms, laboratories for special computer technology facilities and a central technical room for the institute’s extensive server technology.

The new H-LAB office and laboratory building opens in the 4th quarter
In the immediate vicinity of the institutes of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, the Max Planck Society and the GO:IN and GO:IN 2 innovation centers, the new H-LAB building is also currently being built. The office and laboratory building of the project developer and property developer PROJECT Immobilien offers a total of 4,600 m² of rental space. During the tour of the building, we were able to convince ourselves of the bright and generously designed rooms. Thanks to the possibility of individual room layout, companies can implement exactly the concept that best suits their needs. The office space can be divided from as little as 250 m², the laboratory space from 345 m². Half of the space has already been rented. The first tenants will move in at the end of the year.
