Small tower with great benefits in Golm

Press release | The latest building in the Potsdam Science Park in Golm is finished. At Golm station, a small colourful tower complements the ensemble on the station forecourt with information about the location, a consultation room and a platform with a view of the university campus and the science location. Citizens benefit, among other things, from a savings bank ATM in the base and health insurance advice on the upper floor. On May 9, the official opening of the tower will take place at 4:00 p.m.

The small functional building consisting of three concrete elements was commissioned by Standortmanagement Golm GmbH. Visually an information pillar for the science location, the rotunda of the construction company Veloform Media GmbH combines other functions from which students and employees at the site as well as the citizens of the Golm district are to benefit. An ATM on the ground floor is an addition to the infrastructure that residents in Golm and residents of the Science Park had wanted for a long time. In the future, the Mittelbrandenburgische Sparkasse will operate the ATM, its 36th in total in the Potsdam region.

Potsdam’s smallest meeting room in Brandenburg’s largest science park

“On the upper floor, we have the tower room, the ‘smallest meeting room in Potsdam in Brandenburg’s largest science park’,” says site manager Agnes von Matuschka. Equipped with Wi-Fi and heated, meetings with up to four people can take place here all year round. BARMER is expected to offer regular on-site counselling for students, scientists and Golm customers of the health insurance company from May. The tower room can be booked for appointments with the site management of the Potsdam Science Park and is also available on fixed days for use by the local advisory board and local associations.
