We Live Science. Newsletter #5
Dear readers, dear friends and partners of the Potsdam Science Park, the year 2021 is in full swing, ice and snow transformed the Potsdam Science Park into a dreamlike winter backdrop and still give additional momentum in one way or another – “Flockdown” instead of lockdown, a wonderful change, especially for the children in the neighborhood. We are pleased to present you with the latest news from Brandenburg’s largest research and innovation location in Potsdam-Golm with this newsletter.
The Hasso Plattner Foundation has donated a new building to the University of Potsdam for the Institute of Computer Science and Computational Science, which will be occupied by around 800 students in March. In June 2021, the modern laboratory and office building GO:IN 2 will open, which rents out small-scale laboratories and offers the long-awaited expansion opportunities for companies in the healthcare industry. But the H-LAB building is also ready, and the first tenants are already known. In addition, construction of the first two of a total of four new laboratory and office buildings will begin this year.
We are pleased to have confirmed that the Science Park is particularly well connected in terms of transport. This is confirmed by the latest traffic survey, which shows that over 80% of commuters already use public transport.
This year, we are again planning the so-called Science2Go and Future2Go events, where you can get to know our scientists and learn about the professional careers of graduates of the research institutes. For interested founders from the park, we offer networking opportunities and startup courses in the English-language Startup Academy.
If you would like to get to know the Potsdam Science Park better, we can recommend our guided tours. On the first Monday of each month, we present the research and business location to you. The (online) dates can be found on our event page.
