Save The Date: Saturday, May 10, 2025 – Potsdam Science Day with 200 Hands-On Activities for Young and Old

Is Schabernack a place? What does stardust have to do with quantum computers? How smart are ‘intelligent materials’? And is it okay to sound crooked when singing? Answers can be found at the 12th Potsdam Science Day on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Potsdam Science Park in Potsdam-Golm – one of the biggest research sites of the capitol region Berlin-Brandenburg.

Around 40 universities, research institutes and institutions from Potsdam and Brandenburg will present over 200 hands-on activities, lectures and experiments – understandable and exciting for all generations. Guests can look forward to fascinating hands-on experiments on ocean currents, intelligent materials, the latest in cell research, interesting facts about health and nutrition, a virtual encounter with Holocaust survivor Margot Friedländer, surveying with drones, snail slime, the crossing of seeds and a scientific treasure hunt. Children’s activities such as the popular Teddy Clinic, a children’s rally or the game with curious place names also invite visitors to join in.
