Startup Academy 2021 – die neuen Termine im Überblick
[English below] Die neuen Termine der Startup Academy sind online. Die Seminare und Workshops der Startup Academy richten sich an Wissenschaftler*innen und Absolvent*innen der Institute im Potsdam Science Park mit einem Interesse an Unternehmensgründung, sowie Gründer*innen und Teams von Startups, die sich am Forschungsstandort in Potsdam-Golm in der Gründungsphase ihres Unternehmens befinden. In einzelnen Workshops erfahren Sie von Expert*innen aus erster Hand alles Wichtige rund um das Thema Gründung – vom ersten eigenen Business Model, über die Strukturierung von Meetings und gut vorbereitete Pitches bis hin zum Pitch-Training und zur Vorbereitung von Förderanträgen.
Die Veranstaltungen der Startup Academy im Potsdam Science Park finden in englischer Sprache statt und können unabhängig voneinander besucht werden. Teilnehmer*innen erhalten jeweils ein Zertifikat.

The seminars and workshops of the Startup Academy are aimed at scientists and graduates of the institutes in the Potsdam Science Park who are interested in founding a company, as well as founders and startup teams who are in the process of founding their company. In weekly workshops, participannts will learn first-hand from experts everything important about founding a company. From pitch training to design thinking, from business model to marketing and PR for start-ups to the preparation of funding applications. The trainings are held in English. Participants receive a certificate.

Explore the possibilities besides research! This workshop will support you in answering the question whether you are the entrepreneur type or not. We will discuss various topics about founding a company, e.g. finding the right idea, team and business models. What does it mean to be an entrepreneur? How do I finance myself and the team? How do I identify the opportunities and the risks? What do I need to take into account? The workshop will include an introduction to fundamental concepts and a discussion about individual topics and participant questions. Moreover, this seminar will provide you with useful tips on who can support you on your journey.

Innovative Business Model Design — Develop Your Business Idea on One Page

This workshop will introduce both the Business Model Canvas and the Lean Canvas as a foundation for modeling and better understanding the key aspects of your business ideas. Practical tips for researching and validating assumptions will be provided. In addition, the method of metrics-based modeling of business models will be introduced with examples to better understand the mechanism of your business idea. This will help you better assess the opportunities and risks of your business model. In the workshop, your individual questions can also be answered.

This interactive half-day training introduces the Design Sprint, a process that allows teams to turn a challenge into a tested solution prototype in just five days.
