PSP Academy
The Potsdam Science Park Academy (PSP Academy) comprises seminars, workshops, and business events offered to scientists, startups or company employees of the PSP and Berlin-Brandenburg area, interested in improving their soft skills, plan their future careers and founding their startup/company.
The PSP Academy workshops are offered free-of-charge and held in English with a length of 2-4 hours. They are organized as in-person or on-line events depending on the topic and the expected audience.
The topics cover many areas, such as:
– Becoming an entrepreneur, team building, productive business meetings
– From research to market, PR for startups
– Academic spin-offs: stakeholders, interests, challenges, IP,
– Pitch training, fundraising, funding
– Business model Canvas
– German tax law, ensurance for startups or licences and permits
With the selected topics, we are responding to current requests from the community. We look forward to receiving further suggestions.
PSP Academy: Creation of Academic Spin-Offs: Transition from the Academic Sphere to the Commercial Sphere
The workshop will be tailor-made for the situation of the participants and responds to their needs and interests ranging from the legal issues prior to the spin-off creation, to IP-rights and their negotiation, including the implication of external Venture Capital investments.
