Register now for the CITY CYCLING campaign from 6 to 26 September
The CITY CYCLING campaign will also take place in 2023. After some scientists and employees from the Potsdam Science Park have achieved absolutely remarkable achievements last year, the Potsdam Science Park team must of course not be missing in 2023 – together we will ride for a clean Potsdam. You can register now and collect your climate-friendly bike kilometers via the CITY CYCLING app and credit them to the team, you can choose your preferred group!
By participating in the “CITY CYCLING” campaign from 6 to 26 September 2023, we as Team Potsdam Science Park would like to make our contribution to a more climate-friendly city of Potsdam. To this end, we are once again pedaling together with our neighbors and employees from the three Max Planck Institutes, two Fraunhofer Institutes, the Brandenburg State Archive, various companies and startups as well as students from the University of Potsdam (Golm campus) and the residents of the Golm district. More exercise for a better climate!
Would you like to be part of the Potsdam Science Park? This is how it works!
All you need to participate in CITY CYCLING 2023 is a bike, your mobile phone and the CITY CYCLING app. You can register online. When creating your profile, you first join the main team “Potsdam Science Park”. Under “Settings” then select the group you want to ride in. By the way, you don’t have to meet separately for bike tours for the team result. The kilometres covered together by bike are credited to their team via the app.

Collecting and documenting kilometers
The easiest way to collect your kilometers at CITY CYCLING is via the CITY CYCLING app. Download it and turn it on, the app and your location whenever you are cycling in Potsdam. We have compiled all the details about registration and the process for you in our instructions in German and English.

About the CITY CYCLING campaign
CITY CYCLING is a competition in which the aim is to cover as many everyday journeys as possible by bike in a fitness and climate-friendly way for 21 days. It doesn’t matter whether you already ride every day or rarely ride your bike. Every kilometre counts – even if you get on a rental bike. Participation in the competition is possible via an app on your mobile phone. In addition to the obvious added value of fitness and climate protection, there are exciting prizes to be won at the municipal and national level.
