Potsdam Science Park on course for growth

The two new laboratory and office complexes in the Potsdam Science Park have hardly been completed and the first new companies have moved in, when the construction signs for the new construction projects have already been erected. In the coming years, a centre for innovation and transfer between research and business will be created here with around 40,000 m² of new commercial space – and a new district centre will grow in the centre.

New space for innovation, production and technology transfer

Open to companies since 2021: The new GO:IN 2 innovation center in the Potsdam Science Park is ready. The modern office and laboratory building was opened by Technologie- und Gewerbezentren Potsdam GmbH on October 1, 2021, and the first companies have now moved into the 53 office units and 23 double laboratories. Above all, scientific and research-oriented companies now find space here. Enclosed areas from 150 m² can also be rented here.

New investors at the location: PROJECT Immobilien Wohnen & Gewerbe GmbH has sold the H-LAB office and laboratory complex to Warburg-HIH Real Estate (Warburg-HIH Invest) in 2021. The new building has a total lettable area of approx. 4,600 m². Since 2021, new areas have been available here. New tenants work here in the immediate vicinity of the University of Potsdam and the research institutes in the Science Park.

Construction work will begin before the end of this year: The construction sign is in place — on behalf of dh | The QUADRATUM POTSDAM is being built in the Potsdam Science Park with a total of four buildings. In the first construction phase, the buildings “Am Mühlenberg 5A and 5B” with laboratory and office space and a conference area will be built. Completion is scheduled for spring 2024. For the ensemble in the 2nd construction phase, smaller shops for local supply, services and other co-working spaces are also planned.

Completion planned for 3rd quarter of 2023: The building application has been approved: the new InnoLab technology center in the Potsdam Science Park “Am Mühlenberg” is scheduled for completion as early as the 3rd quarter of 2023. Only a three-minute walk from Golm train station, the complex with rentable office and laboratory space is located on 10,300 m². Conference rooms, a publicly accessible campus restaurant and an underground car park are also planned here. The new building is being realised by the owner-managed Homepoint Group in cooperation with the Demir Group as project developer. The floor plans are to be designed together with future users.

Only a few free plots left: We are looking forward to further developments in the fully developed Technology Campus. In the meantime, most of the plots on Marie-Curie-Ring and Clara-Immerwahr-Straße have been allocated to companies from the fields of research, high-tech and knowledge production. The few plots still available will be sold at a fixed price upon presentation of the building concept. If you are interested in a building plot, ProPotsdam GmbH will provide information.

The flexible solution for small teams: The Startup Space in the GO:IN 1 incubator offers space for startups, where start-up teams can find flexible offices in the heart of the Potsdam Science Park. Functionally furnished workplaces with flexible contract terms are available here, and the site management also offers a wide range of networking opportunities and contact mediation with the players in the Potsdam Science Park and suitable partner networks in the areas of start-ups and financing.
